Diagnose faster, intervene at the right place and prevent recurrences.
Building operations teams must often consult multiple interfaces to understand a situation: BMS alarms, historical data, plans, technical documents, contracts, occupant requests and information transmitted by service providers. This dispersion extends diagnostic time, causes multiple movements and complicates coordination.
Reducing time spent searching for information
A significant portion of operations time is not spent on the intervention itself, but on context reconstruction: identifying equipment, finding its location, retrieving documentation, consulting previous interventions, checking maintenance contracts and determining whether occupants are on site. The BOS brings together all this information – reducing search time and improving the quality of diagnostics.
Converting alarms into operational situations
A technical alarm indicates that a piece of equipment is out of range or in default – not the consequences or its level of priority. The BOS links the alarm to the equipment, its location, associated systems, nearby spaces, occupant feedback and service commitments. A default affecting an unoccupied space will not be handled the same way as one affecting a production area, an IT room or a space open to the public.
Improving diagnostic reliability until normal service is restored
The BOS can support the entire operational chain: it guides the team or service provider involved, gives technicians access from the field to plans, procedures, history and documents, and verifies the return to normal service based on measurements and feedback – automatically recorded in the history.
Capturing knowledge and preventing recurrences
Knowledge of a building is often held by individuals. The BOS structures and retains it by linking symptoms, identified causes, actions taken and results. Analysing recurring events identifies equipment that fails regularly, their roots and the return on investment of actions – and facilitates the integration of new technicians.

Example of time savings
The BOS enables the time saved to be reallocated to high-value actions: more effective diagnostics, better preventive maintenance, continuous improvement or handling pending actions – while optimizing technical resources.
Illustrative example – to be confirmed based on the building and the operations organisation.
Less time spent reconstructing the situation, more time devoted to maintaining the building’s performance.
